Purvankara House
A Personal Story of Design, Discovery, and New Beginnings

A little storytime! This homeowner met us in the most unexpected way. We were at a bank meeting an existing client, taking pictures of their space, when he walked up to us and asked, “Can you also do residential?” We assured him that we handle interiors across all typologies, including homes, but he still seemed unsure - mostly because he didn’t believe his space had any potential at all.

He went on to explain, “I’m getting married soon, and I need to merge a few rooms and create a space of my own within my parents’ villa.”
That was enough for us to understand that this project wasn’t just about interiors. It was about building a new chapter of his life.

When we visited his home, our conversation was less about design and more about him - his lifestyle, his routine, the kind of environment he feels at peace in. Understanding his personality was essential before shaping the space he would share with his partner.

Since he was stepping into a new phase of life, it felt natural to bring in calming tones, soft, feminine artwork, and glass lighting elements that added a touch of romance and grace. With two people now sharing the space, storage became a priority. We demolished all existing walls and created wardrobe walls that could accommodate large storage needs without overwhelming the room.

The biggest challenge in this project was defining the line between public and private zones within the villa. But thoughtful planning helped us resolve this. Curved sofas softened the layout and added warmth, the entryway became elegant yet inviting, and the washroom was integrated through a concealed wardrobe access — keeping privacy intact without disrupting the aesthetic flow.

Purvankara House became more than a renovation. It became a carefully designed transition from one life chapter to another — subtle, thoughtful, and deeply personal, just as a home should be
