You + Baby Photostudio

“We don’t want it to be just a baby space or just a studio,” the client said, and that statement became the foundation of the design approach. The brief was to create a maternity photo studio in Dubai that offered a bespoke experience, blending elegance, comfort, and functionality while catering to both newborn and maternity photography.

With Dubai’s photography market growing rapidly, the space needed to feel contemporary, visually refined, and welcoming. The goal was not only to create a studio that photographed well but one that enhanced the client experience from the moment they entered.

The interior design was planned by clearly defining two distinct studio zones, one dedicated to newborn photography and the other to maternity shoots. Independent access to washrooms was carefully maintained, alongside ample storage solutions and a well-considered reception area that sets the tone for the space. Thoughtful space planning ensured smooth movement, privacy, and ease of use for both clients and photographers.

Material selection played a key role in shaping the studio’s character. Brushed gold accents, rustic tiles, blush pink tones, and layered shades of grey were used to create a soft yet sophisticated environment. These elements work together to bring warmth and depth to the interiors without overwhelming the visual experience.

Lighting was treated as a priority throughout the design. Preserving natural light was essential, so glass partitions and tall mirrors were introduced to enhance brightness and openness. A large circular feature light in the reception area adds a focal point while complementing the overall interior language of the studio.

The result is a maternity and newborn photo studio that feels refined, calm, and thoughtfully designed. The interiors provide a versatile backdrop, allowing the photography to shine while offering clients a comfortable and memorable experience within the space.
